Latest Update on Spring Seasons

Dear Electric City Families,

Things continue to change everyday, but we wanted to give you an update as to where things stand right now. We continue to follow guidance from the Governor, school district, Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA), and the WIAA. This guidance changes almost everyday. As of now we will follow the lead of the local school districts. As their plans change ours may also. Last night there was an East Central Meeting, and as of this moment there is no delay in the start of the Classic, Academy, or Recreational seasons since these are planned to start in May. Here is a summary of where things stand at this moment:

  • All practices are cancelled until at the earliest April 6. Practices are dependent on decisions from the school districts and WIAA. If their decisions change that date may change

  • No teams should gather in any manner until the Governor lifts the order to suspend school. Kids can do things on their own at home, but should honor the ban of gathering at this time.

  • There will be no games prior to April 30. This does not change Classic, Recreational, Academy, or MDM at this point. The State League schedule is being adjusted.

  • If all this pushes into May we may need to look at schedules and make appropriate adjustments.

  • Our spring Fundraiser was set to kick off on March 28. This year we were going to have a raffle. The dates for this are being reevaluated.

Thank you for your patience as we react to an ever-changing environment. I know this is a confusing time, especially if you are new to soccer and this was to be your first experience. The hope is that we can get through this and resume soccer this spring, but at this point there are still a lot of unknowns. As we continue to learn more we will continue to update you.
